Formaldehyde dehydrogenase from Pseudomonas sp. HCHO + NAD+ + H2O ----> HCOOH + NADH + H+ 1ku This enzyme is useful for enzymatic determination of formaldehyde and of hydrogen peroxide when coupled with catalase. Note: Glutathione is not required for the catalytic reaction
